Lyudmila Bloch is an international etiquette expert, protocol consultant, etiquette author (The Golden Rules of Etiquette at The Plaza), and speaker. She has been a business-etiquette coach in New York City since 2000.  

After training as a linguist at Moscow State Pedagogical University (she is fluent in French, Russian, English, and has basic knowledge of Spanish), Lyudmila moved with her husband to New York City. While working as a marketing executive for major American companies -- Saks Fifth Avenue, The Taubman Company, Sass Advertising, and The Plaza Hotel, she has enjoyed a broad range of marketing experiences and an ever-changing cross-cultural communications.

Lyudmila Bloch is a respected business-etiquette coach in New York City and one of the most quoted multilingual etiquette experts in business and dining etiquette. She has conducted business-etiquette seminars and workshops for Fortune 500 companies and provided protocol-consulting services for the following companies and institutions —  The United Nations, Columbia University, Royal Bank of Scotland,  Novartis, The Butterfield Bank of Bermuda, Spanish Medical Society, Apple Reseller/EU, Bolshoi Ballet & Opera Foundation, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Bermuda, Bermuda Learning Solutions Ltd., Deloitte LLC, Morgan Stanley, Pace University, and Oxford Metro Health Inc.

In 2004 she coauthored with R. Carroll The Golden Rules of Etiquette at The Plaza published by Fifth Avenue Press.

In 2005 the dynamic duo joined forces with the New York City Department of Education and introduced business-etiquette training program "Creating an Effective Workplace in Your School" for principals and teachers in New York City public schools.

In 2008, at the annual New York State Conference for Educators in Albany, Ms. Bloch presented the latest program for educators “Achieving Social and Emotional Growth through Character Development and Etiquette Instruction.

Ms. Bloch is a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington.

In her many travels across the globe, Lyudmila has especially enjoyed meeting with memorable personalities such as His Majesty King Hassan II of Morocco, former President of the U.S.S.R. Mikhail Gorbachev, world-famous dancer and choreographer, Rudolf Nureyev, and the legendary Walter Cronkite.

Currently she lives in New York City with her family and her beloved dog, Mathilda, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Rosemary Carroll -- Creative Director and Etiquette Author

Rosemary Carroll

Writer, Photographer, Illustrator

Rosemary Carroll is the owner and director of two professional photography studios and a retail lab. She has photographed socialites, celebrities, and executives both in US and abroad. Some of her more renowned subjects and/or corporations are Julie Andrews, Chris Wallace, Hillary Knight, Henry Kissinger, Liz Smith, Iris Love, Mars 2112, The Plaza Hotel in New York City, and Aero-Kinetics Co.

Armed with nearly two decades of photography experience, she recently brought her knowledge and skill to the book industry, when she opened the premier publishing house, Fifth Avenue Press. To date, Ms. Carroll has co-authored three children's books using the latest in photography and watercolor techniques.

As a writer, she has contributed to numerous magazines and newspapers. Her photographs have been published in books, magazines, calendars and Hallmark Cards. Her personal appearances include Larry King Live, Inside Edition, Eye Over Miami, the Emmy award-winning One-On-One with Steve Adubato and many other local TV and radio shows.

Educated in New York at Long Island University and the University of Baltimore Law School in Maryland, she is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.


Elena Konovalova -- Persian-and-Russian Language Specialist

Elena Konovalova

Elena is a contributing consultant/translator for our international etiquette training program for young adults and college students.  She is multilingual (Russian, Persian, English, French) and she has received her BA degree in International Law and her MA degree in Interpreting from the Astrakhan State University, Russia. She is currently studying Political Science at Hunter College, New York and doing her internship at a New York Law firm. Prior to her studies and work in New York, Elena has worked as a reporter for a local TV channel in Russia, as well as TV anchor for the daily program called "Prospect."

In addition to her academic studies, she is successfully continuing her modeling assignments for the New York's top modeling agency -- CLICK.
