This week, Lyudmila Bloch, an international etiquette expert, protocol consultant, and
author of “The Golden Rules of Etiquette at the Plaza,” (2004), responded to readers’ questions.
Ms. Bloch has been a business etiquette coach in New York City since 2000. After training as a linguist at Moscow State Pedagogical University (she is fluent in French, Russian, English and has basic knowledge of Spanish), Ms. Bloch came to the United States with her husband, where she worked as an international marketing executive for companies like Saks Fifth Avenue, the Taubman Company, the Plaza Hotel, and Sass Advertising.
During her work as a marketing consultant at the Plaza Hotel, Lyudmila helped create a variety of V.I.P. services (Young Plaza Ambassadors) for international and domestic travelers, including business etiquette seminars for executives. As a founder of EtiquetteOutreach.com, she has assisted major companies and institutions — Columbia University, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Deloitte L.L.P Novartis, the United Nations, the New York City Department of Education and others — in training their work force and students in all aspects of business etiquette.
Etiquette Outreach is the only multilingual etiquette-training service in New York City that offers private business-etiquette coaching and group business-etiquette seminars for Wall Street bankers and executives. Ms. Bloch also gives pro-bono classes in business, dining and social skills at public schools and not-for-profit associations throughout the city.
Lyudmila Bloch is working on her new ebook titled "World-Class Business Etiquette."
